So I’m heading to Europe in about a week, and will be trying to see as much music as possible.  I figured I’d try and use the website here as a way to blog about my experiences and catalogue who I meet and get to see/hear.  I’m heading to Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Vienna, so if anybody knows good venues to check out let me know!

Also very soon I’m going to start posting summaries and histories of jazz standards and other songs in the great American songbook.  Just as an interesting way to try and get into where the songs actually come from and the like.  First one up will be Stella by Starlight, and I’ll have that up by this Tuesday or Wednesday, so check back soon!
